A Shadow amongst Black Light
Laying down my head,
Hope is gone
Running down through endless corridors,
Sadness is all I own
Standing in my own company
My plead sounds low
Sinking every second,
Nobody there to hear my call
My world, one nightmare
And yours, a dream
No longer linked by any feeling
Love to be unseen
Reaching out for light,
Open doors shut close
You, my one way out,
Now in this other world you’ve chose
Blinded to my presence,
Deaf to my every word
Crying for forgiveness
Is no longer an escape
A white shadow is all there is left for me
A shadow glowing in the dark
Not to be seen, or heard, or spoken to
A shadow amongst black light
