Soldiers
We hung tight from your apple tree
And nailed our eyes in each other, feeling so free
You jumped and so did I, we fell into heaven
Lived long days and long nights, from little kids to little rebels
We flew down, a day or so, and watched the world sitting on a cloud
So quiet the noises in heaven, but in hell, so angry, so loud
A deadly song they marched and sung "we'll kill 'em all, we'll die to win"
Walking into pure darkness, fighting for a world full of sin
Spectators we became, waving to every parting soul
For every blink, a new one near, letting the lies and truth unfold
Two guns they waved, shooting dead every single tear
"We don't feel, we, soldiers. We can't feel no fear”
